In the UK, an estimated three million people have Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)1, yet only 30 per cent are diagnosed2. Whilst much attention has been focused on managing breathlessness, a relatively neglected element of COPD is the presence of productive cough. Developed by a group of the UK's leading respiratory experts, the Cough into Context report is an educational tool for primary care professionals designed to provide guidance on the management of productive cough both in stable COPD and in exacerbations.
